Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli arrived back on home soil on Wednesday. They ended tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. Meanwhile, a large number of Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa went back to their Japan post after missions tied to the Iran situation. The Tripoli docked at its home port in Okinawa, closing out its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force wrapped up joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit rescued a seven-day-old seal pup that was left on its own.
