A total solar eclipse will sweep over the UK on August 12, 2026. This will be the most striking one since 1999. Cornwall may surrender nearly total daylight. Experts say up to 90% of the sun will be obscured. Most areas will still get a long dim spell. The European Space Agency has booked sites in León, Spain. Total eclipse will be observable at those sites. The UK only gets a deep incomplete sight.
