Disney has delayed Star Wars: Starfighter and turned it into a 2027 TV pilot. Shawn Levy will direct the project, which is set to follow The Mandalorian's loose ties to the Star Wars universe. Jonathan Tropper wrote the script and believes that fans will welcome the series once it arrives. Disney has also paused all new Star Wars streaming shows for 12 months, clearing the path for this standalone series.
