Chase Elliott smashed into the wall on Sunday at the Brickyard 400. He came home in 26th place. The vehicle sustained a hard impact but Elliott claimed the damage was minor. Later, Alex Bowman revealed he will retire after 2027. Bowman’s exit opens a vacancy that may be offered to Conner Zilisch in 2028. Elliott only spoke about Bowman after his own crash, without discussing driver reshuffle.
